Creating Extraordinary Lives

Welcome to Generation Youth, where we provide mentoring services that bridge the gap between therapy and adulthood.

Generation Youth's

5 Key Pillars of Support

Social Skills

Social skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships, both personally and professionally. Young people that spend time with their mentors and interact with others in the community will help build strong social skills.

Communication

Effective communication is a vital aspect of growth in society. It is the key to getting our clients' message across, understanding others and working together in a team environment.

Independence

Empowering young people to achieve greater independence not only offers relief for their families but also equips them with the skills necessary for adulthood.

Confidence

Confidence is key when progressing through life! We encourage building self-esteem, managing emotions, and learning to trust yourself.

Health & Wellbeing

A strong and healthy body creates a strong and healthy mind. Our mentoring sessions place a strong emphasis on promoting health and wellness, incorporating a variety of physical and wellness activities.

Generation Youth

Welcome to Generation Youth. We provide one-on-one mentoring for young people aged 9–25 across South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Our team of 45 youth mentors currently supports more than 150 young people, with more than 300 young people supported since we began. We work across our five key pillars: social skills, communication, independence, confidence, and health & wellbeing.

We understand that everyone is unique and that all young people deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. That's why every program is tailored to the individual.

Our services are NDIS friendly for plan- and self-managed participants. We work alongside allied health services, families and government agencies, which means we can support children and young people with disabilities and those who have experienced trauma. No diagnosis is needed, and families without NDIS or government funding can choose to self-fund.

Our mentors come to you, with pick-up and drop-off available after the first meet and greet. Every mentor holds all relevant checks and clearances.

What Does Our Mentoring Look Like?

Mentoring is a crucial part of supporting young people’s growth and development. Our approach is personalised and comprehensive. Trained, experienced mentors identify each young person’s specific needs and preferences, then work with them and their family to create a tailored plan. The plan covers a range of activities and strategies, all designed to help them reach their unique goals and aspirations.

Our sessions include a wide range of enjoyable activities in the community, such as hiking, sports, art, music, catching public transport, community events, volunteering and social groups.

These activities help young people develop social skills, self-esteem and a sense of belonging.

We also focus on the key life skills young people need as they prepare for adulthood, including time management, creating good habits and study skills. These help them become more independent, responsible and self-sufficient.

Goal setting is a key part of our mentoring. We work with young people to set realistic, achievable goals for themselves, then provide guidance and support to help them reach those goals. By setting and achieving goals together, young people build self-confidence, motivation and a sense of purpose. No goal is out of reach, and guidance, support and companionship are the key to success.

Mentoring at Generation Youth is enjoyable, engaging and fun. It empowers young people to reach their full potential, develop key life skills and achieve their goals. Our mentors are dedicated to giving young people the support they need to succeed in life.
